Coastal Partnerships Network Annual Forum 2013 – 5 & 6 November

This year’s Coastal Partnerships Network Annual Forum takes place in Southampton on 5th and 6th of November. Starting with a ‘behind the scenes’ visit to Southampton Docks with ABP Southampton the event is designed to give local coastal partnership officers and those working with them, their steering group members and partner organisations, an opportunity to learn about and discuss a range of hot issues in coastal management including the proposed Framework Directive on Maritime Spatial Planning and Integrated Coastal Management, English Marine Plans, the work of the Local Government Association Coastal Special Interest Group, the next cycle of Water Framework Directive plans, English coastal access, marine protected areas and inshore fisheries,  and a chance to influence the development and future work programme of the Coastal Partnerships Network – the not-for-profit umbrella body for coastal partnerships which represents their interests at national level. The booking form, which includes a provisional programme and details of reduced rate accommodation at the conference hotel, is available to download from  http://www.coastalpartnershipsnetwork.org.uk/core_files/uploads/CPN%20Annual%20Forum%20November%205&6%202013.pdf
